Church Tourism
Easy listening music that you will recognise will be a feature of a Sunday afternoon concert in Darsham church on 4 September at 3.30pm with tea and cake to follow.
Baroque Music for Flute and Harpsicord will be performed by Julie Harmer (flute) and Peter Clayton (harpsichord) of the Wollaston Consort who will introduce well known and well loved pieces by Bach and Handel, and also by the lesser known Johann Quantz who was a flautist, flute maker and composer living at the same time as Bach and Handel. The combination of flute and harpsichord will be perfect for Darsham Church.
The Wollaston Consort are delighted to dedicate their music to raising funds for the church. Admission is free with a retiring collection.
This is one of a series of occasional concerts with the appeal of tea and cake afterwards already known as making them an irresistible attraction.
Can’t make the concert?
If you can’t make the date but like the sound of tea and cake, why not drop by to Wednesday Teas in the church of Darsham All Saints’ every week from 2.30-4pm? Everyone is welcome, including dogs!
