October 5, 2016 @ 11:15 am - October 8, 2016 @ 11:15 pm

BlythEstuary

The William Alwyn Festival at Holy Trinity Blythburgh runs from 5-8 October and includes a diverse programme of classical music in the unforgettable surroundings of the ‘Cathedral of the Marshes’.

William Alwyn (1905 – 1985) was one of our finest composers with a wealth of repertoire from orchestral to film scores, ensemble to choral.

The festival opens on Wednesday 5 October at 11.15am with a rare opportunity to hear some delightful French and English works from the 20th century all in one concert. The festival programme also includes the Tippett String Quartet for the final concert on Saturday October 8 at 11.15am.

Tickets cost £12 for each concert and are available from Southwold Library, Chapel Books, Westleton, or Woodbridge Violins.

You can also book online at Aldeburgh Music using the details below.
